Since introducing our Slack integration back in January, we’ve been told by many of our customers that their use of the praise and recognition feature has increased dramatically. We know it can be difficult to switch between systems, so we’re removing another barrier with our latest update and enhancing a few of the existing features.
Here are three small, but useful, improvements that we just launched:
New “/note” Command
You can now take a private note about a person from within Slack, sending it into Small Improvements for only you to see. This can be very helpful to collect ideas for your next 1:1, or to take notes that you’d like to revisit during the next round of reviews or 360s. Think of it as your new private diary. A note like the following…
Will show up inside SI on the correct user’s profile page:
Clearer Status Updates for Objective Changes
You will now see exactly what has changed about your team members’ objectives within the Slack notification. An employee has increased the completion percentage from 20 percent to 50 percent? You’ll be instantly notified with the full details in your Slack feed.
Improved “/praise” Title Recognition
Until now, we’ve taken your entire written praise and put it into a Small Improvements message body, while the Small Improvements message title just read, “Praise about Joe.” We’re now detecting the first sentence and putting that into the title, with the remainder of the praise in the body of the message. Much cleaner!
All of these improvements are live. We hope you like them!
